Remix Magazine Shuts Down

The recent problems with the global economy have forced the termination of the heralded print publication, Remix Magazine.  On Friday, November 21st,  Remix Mag’s publisher, Penton Media announced that the January issue will be the final issue for the print version of the publication.

“The economy got me. I knew it was coming these last six months, and Remix, the print magazine, is no longer.”

All is not lost however, as Penton Media plans to keep Remix around as an online-only media outlet and will continue on with the heralded Remix Hotel production showcases.

Remix joins the ranks of a few other defunct Stateside music magazines, including Harp and Resonance.

Here’s what editor Kylee Swensen said in a recent email : “The economy got me. I knew it was coming these last six months, and Remix, the print magazine, is no longer.”
