DJ/Producer Deadmau5′ Public Statement About DJs : ‘They’re F**cking C**ts’

Deadmau5 Hates DJ’s

“They’re Fucking Cunts”

In a recent interview, Canadian DJ and Producer Deadmau5 (real name Joel Zimmerman) has explicitly expressed his dislike for the modern DJ.

The image is blurry, but here’s a snipped from the interview:
He states,

“It puts me to fucking sleep to be quite honest, I don’t really see the technical merit in playing two songs at the same speed together and it bores me to fucking tears and hopefully with all due respect to the dj type that will fucking go the way of the dinosaur id like them to dis-a-fucking-pear. Joel continued, its so middle man, they’re like fucking lawyers. You need them, but they’re fucking ****s. God bless them they’re my number one customer right so I’m not gonna go diss every fucking DJ. But to say you become this massive up on a podium performer by playing other peoples productions at the same speed as someone else’s productions and fading between the two of them, I don’t get it.”

  2. Deadmau5 is da ghey says:

Well part of the problem is that Deadmau5 cant even mix his own tracks let alone others.  He uses Abelton for christ’s sake and not very well might I add.  He does not  use turntables or even cdjs.  If you can click your mouse you can beat match on abelton.  It does the work for you.

Wow… Producing music and spinning records are two different worlds. I can appreciate both… an artist that expresses themselves through making music and an artist who expresses themselves through others music that they love. Becoming a skilled DJ isn’t just matching two record speeds together (a lot more than that) Maybe Joel is just a pasty white meat puppet who’s been fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time. I’ve been a fan for a while, but will admit I was expecting better transitions between some of his songs on his albums. For not knowing Joel personally all I have as a fan is his music, but now I have lost respect for that and his ignorance. Dumb comment to make in the Electronic Music Scene. Must be a joke.
