Released a month ago, “Electroma” is a film directed by the French house music Duo Daft Punk, most recently known for Kanye West’s cover of their track “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger“. The film is produced and directed by the the Daft Punk duo, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. Bangalter is responsible for the film’s cinematography.
Here’s the trailer:
The silent film’s plot is about the travels of two robots (also the two band members). Here’s the overview from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daft_Punk%27s_Electroma
It is a very artistically conceived film. You’ll find no music by Daft Punk in the entire piece (the soundtrack is primarily ambient). Unlike the group’s live show, there are no flashing light shows coming from the helms of the duo, and the giant L.E.D. pyramid is without cameo in the film. It is an interesting film to watch
