I wonder if beatport is even aware that the original Cinnamon Chasers vid for Luv Deluxe got over 1,000,000 aggregate views on youtube/vimeo/etc. You’d think that it would generate at least a category feature on the site. Shows how out of touch they are with anything but “cool guy” tech house.

NO…the real money is in publishing. Clearly, DJ Shadow has zero clue how the music business works and operates. There still is an incredible amount of money in touring (or “gigging”). DJ Shadow seems to be either seriously misinformed or has let a shitty manager leech off of him for too long.
